today's teacher's day!!

so, i guess a wishing is in order!!

Happy Teacher's Day!!

let's start the blogging now...

i planned to wake up early today, as my twin (amaliah) is leaving today for hong kong, for a week... i had already set the alarm on my phone to ring at 9 am, BUT, i was too lazy to wake up on the dot, and ended waking up at 10 instead.. sorry twin!!

so i got up at 10, and again, planned to take a quick shower... but, as u know, plans do always go according to... well, planned... so i ended up getting out of the house only at 10.30... once again, im sorry twin!!

so i left the house at 10.30, and walked out to the bus stop at circus... got onto the 315 bus, then switched to 24 which was headed for changi airport... had i know 53 goes to the airport, and faster too, i would have taken it... that 24 bus was so freaking slow!!

and... u know what time i reached the airport?? 11.30!! i was supposed to meet them at 11!! and at terminal 2 too!! the bus only went to terminal 1!! gosh, im never early...

having reached terminal 1, i quickly made my way to the skytrain that linked terminal 1 & 2, and boarded it... when i reached teminal 2, i buzzed felicia, and asked her where were they... cos see, if i had to find them myself, i would probably end up at the arrival hall instead... i weaved through the crowd, and finally found them at belt 9... (thank goodness) i saw fara, felicia, revathi, joel, nadia, wen xia, beatrice, cherlyn, dorothy, ting xian, ya ping, cassandra (who was going with amaliah on the trip) and of course amaliah...

we exchanged greetings, and then amaliah insisted we took our pics together... now, i nvr was a fan of taking pictures, but somehow my face always comes out nice when taken with amaliah... the twin's effect... haha... couldnt stop laughing when they were about to take the picture, till fara chided me... then i jus smiled, the camera clicked, and i started laughing again... weird me huh...

we hung around that area for a bit, before amaliah left us, i dunno to exchange currencies or what... aft a while, we went to find her... went round the whole terminal, before we called her and found out she was near the bookshop... so we went to the shop, and not spottong her, went inside to browse... i happily picked up a MBR (mountain bike racing) magazine, and started flipping through it... without my knowledge, they left me in that bookshop, cos amaliah called and said she was a level below at macs... i didnt know anything till joel came to find me and told me they were all downstairs... (-.-'')

we headed down to macs, and i proceeded to buy my breakfast, or rather, brunch... i asked for take-away in case they had to leave anytime... in the line, i was standing beside amaliah... and her cute little niece... her niece kept on running around me and playing with me... i jus played along, naturally... then all of a sudden, she hugged my leg, and licked my shirt!! ewww, baby drool all over the bottom of my shirt!!

i ordered my food, and went to sit at a table with joel, with amaliah's parents and neice at a table beside us... the girls had gone to the big, plushy and comfy sofas behind us to sit... all of a sudden though, fara came over, and asked me to move in... amaliah came, asked joel to move in (we were both sitting on the outside 2 chairs of the 4 seater table) and both girls sat down... they started telling joel about his crushes and their story with him...

ok, so i was eating happily, till felicia came over, and asked fara to move in... and i thought, how was fara to move in when there were only 2 seats?? i soon found out... fara made me move in, and 3 of us sat there sharing 2 chairs... now all 3 of us are slim, but somehow i felt squished... right after seating down, felicia then proceeded to help herself to me fries... fara too... and, omg, i cant believe i fell for this... amaliah pointed behind me and said, 'hey, what are they doin??' silly me turned around to look, only to turn back and find her stuffing her mouth with fries and trying not to laugh... felicia tried to do the same to her, to take her MILO, but she didnt fall for it... obviously...

after a while, amaliah had to go check in and go in, so we made our way to the entrance of the departure hall.. amaliah then started to say goodbyes, and suddenly started crying!! seeing her cry made me feel bad... now im gonna miss her more!! awww...

and then, there was this stupid camera man filming the whole thing!! from when amliah started cryin and hugging fara and feli and rev, till when she ran to her parents to hug them farewell, to when i made actions pretending i was crying too!! (had to make her feel better, wat to do??) gosh, i'll kill that man if he ever puts it in film!! i'll freaking murder him!!

she went in through the glass sliding doors, went to the counter to sign in, and turned... i waved, soon everyone started too... and the stupid camera man stood on the other side of the glass filming us!! argh!!

when we lost sight of her, we turned around and headed back to mac.. the moment i turned around, i saw my da jie, charlene... i havent seen her in a long time, so naturally started to wave at her... she was with her boyfriend, and her indian best friend, who i'll confectionately call Blackie!! cos he is so irritating... haha.. in a funny way though, he's a whole comedy sitcom by himself...

we exchanged greetings, and then i headed down to mac with my friends... she went another way... when we (now the we is fara and gang) found a table and sat down, we just... well, sat there... in absolute silence.. i looked up at their faces, and said, 'why are we so quiet all of a sudden??' and everyone said i dunno... but fara said, 'aiya, our best friend just left, lets give her one minute of silence lah...' to which both me and feli retorted to,' she'd not dead lah, only going to hong kong for a week!!' and then we burst out laughing...

da jie came down to macs too, and sat at a table 2 tables away... Blackie took her handphone, recorded down my number, and started to prank call me with his phone... but he gave himself away... why?? well, im a simple person, so i set my handphone with an old fashioned ringtone, and put it to max so i can hear if its my pocket... and when it rang, ever so loudly, he just burst out laughing... da jie and her boyfriend did too... so did my friends... wah, malu i tell u...

after eating, we went to terminal 1 to watch planes take off and land at the viewing hall... joel started to tell me about planes, when i cut him off halfway and rushed to the toilet... stomachache... haha... think i had too much ice cream... hehe...

after nuking the toilet, i came out and we left the airport... we sat 53 back home... on the way, i saw farah (not the fara i was with) at a bus stop in pasir ris... actually we just happened to glance at each other (as u would to people u dont know), and snapped our heads back to face each other once we realised who we were seeing, and broke into a big smile... cos we havent seen each other for a long time too... wow, i met so many people i havent seen in a long time today...

other than this, the rest of the day was relatively normal... i changed my tires to Kenda Kozmik Lite II... which are the lighest tires in the world... they rode very well too... no regrets for changing... great difference to performance of my bike...
